During a visit to the Muftiate of Bihać and the Islamic Community Council (MIZ) of Bosanska Krupa, and as part of the program commemorating the 154th anniversary of the birth of Grand Mufti Džemaludin Čaušević, the Director of the Waqf Directorate, Dr. Senaid Zajimović, visited the site of the future Cultural Center planned for construction by MIZ Bosanska Krupa.
Accompanied by the President of MIZ Bosanska Krupa, Amir Mehić, Dr. Zajimović toured the waqf-owned location where this important facility will be built. The planned Cultural Center is a strategic project for both the Islamic Community and the local community, as it will include waqf-owned commercial spaces, the headquarters of the Council, rooms for youth activities, and a department for marriage and family affairs. This center will serve as a gathering place for education and development across generations, strengthening community bonds and providing support for families and young people.
Recognizing the importance of waqfs as a foundation for social development, MIZ Bosanska Krupa, with the support of the Federal Ministry for Displaced Persons and contributions from generous community members, has already secured approximately one-third of the necessary funds for the realization of this project. The construction of the Cultural Center is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025 as part of the "Waqf Days 2025" event.
Speaking on the significance of this project, the Director of the Waqf Directorate, Dr. Senaid Zajimović, emphasized:
"The construction of this center is of immeasurable importance for the Islamic Community and society as a whole. This will not be just a building, but a place where unity is fostered, spirituality is strengthened, and the universal values of waqf and solidarity are promoted. The future Cultural Center will be a beacon of development and empowerment for our community, especially for youth and families."
