Donja Jošanica is a neighborhood located two kilometers from Vogošća, near Sarajevo. It was established in the years following the aggression and currently has over 400 households, primarily inhabited by young families. The construction of a mosque with accompanying facilities will help meet the growing religious and social needs of the Muslim community in this area.
The project includes the construction of a mosque along with additional facilities, as well as an educational center within the mosque complex. The center will feature classrooms, a lecture hall, a library, a restaurant, a room for children, an imam’s residence, a mortuary, and a garage.
The process of obtaining the necessary documentation is currently underway. The construction of the mosque and educational center is funded by waqifa Azizah Ali Alghamidi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
