The Waqf Fund for the Construction, Reconstruction, and Renovation of Waqf and Religious Buildings is dedicated to collecting financial resources for building new waqf and religious structures, as well as restoring and adapting existing ones.

Historically, revenues from nationalized waqf properties were used to support the underprivileged, provide student scholarships, construct new buildings, and finance public infrastructure such as water supply systems, roads, and bridges. These resources benefited not only Bosniaks but also other communities in the region.

The confiscation of these properties deprived the Islamic Community of most of its income, preventing it from independently financing the construction of new waqf and religious buildings. Additionally, the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina resulted in significant damage or complete destruction of many such properties.

In carrying out these activities, the Islamic Community relies on generous individuals, particularly Bosniaks, who support the reconstruction and construction of waqf and religious buildings through financial contributions and endowments.

To facilitate the development and restoration of waqf properties, the Waqf Directorate has established this fund, allowing anyone to contribute to the establishment and revitalization of new and existing waqf facilities.
